SSR - the Self-Supporting Runflat tyre Changing a tyre at the roadside can be a thing of the past. Drive up to 50 miles at a maximum speed of 50 mph in the event of puncture No spare wheel necessary Compatible with conventional rims Fuel efficient (weight of 4 SSR tyres < = 5 standard tyres) The Self-Supporting Runflat (SSR) technology is based on a self-supporting reinforced sidewall. When there is a puncture, the sidewall is prevented from being crushed between the rim and the ground, as well as the tyre from slipping off the rim, which can make it impossible to fit a spare tyre. An SSR tyre not only takes the danger and inconvenience out of punctures, it also helps with fuel efficiency and frees up interior space in your vehicle. With four SSR tyres fitted you will not need to carry a spare tyre, which means less weight and improved fuel efficiency as result. It also adds up to 80 litres of free space in the boot. At Continental, we highly recommend fitment on all four wheels and once the SSR tyre has been damaged, a new one needs to be fitted. Technical requirements: Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) essential Electronic Stability Control (ESC) recommended SSR Tyre (Deflated) An SSR tyre has a reinforced sidewall that prevents it from being flattened and ensures the driver can continue driving for up to 50 miles at a maximum speed of 50 mph. Standard Tyre (Deflated) When a puncture occurs with a standard tyre the sidewall can become crushed between the rim and the ground. This can cause a potentially dangerous situation like a blowout or the tyre slipping off the rim, which could make it impossible to fit a spare tyre.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Continental ContiPremiumContact 6 tires are highly praised for their excellent performance on dry roads and quiet ride, especially when warmed up. Users appreciate the confident handling at high speeds and the durability despite their softness, with no issues from impacts on rough surfaces. However, they note that the tires become hard and noisy at temperatures around 4-5 degrees, suggesting a timely switch to winter tires. While handling on wet surfaces is moderate, caution is advised at higher speeds in rainy conditions. Overall, these tires are considered a worthwhile investment compared to cheaper alternatives, offering longevity and reliability.
Pros

Cons

Almost everything about it is good.

I replaced the "Brička 001" with new ones, size 225*45*17. Compared to the "Brička", they are much softer and create less noise. They don't follow the ruts. In the rain, you obviously need to drive carefully, I wouldn't fully trust it. Going 130 km/h on the Kyiv-Kharkiv highway, during rain and a gentle turn, passing through a puddle 1-2 cm deep, I almost lost control (on new tires). In the rain, it's better not to go over 100 km/h, in this regard the "Brička 001" is better.
Confident handling at high speeds on dry surfaces, doesn't catch ruts. Despite its softness, it is quite durable; I hit the Ukrainian lunar landscape several times, thought my fillings would fall out, but no bumps appeared.
Moderate handling on wet surfaces. No issues at city speeds, but I won't risk it at over a hundred on wet roads.

great model, I really liked it

No matter what anyone says, Chinese tires for 2 kopecks really differ from the real Continental. The claim that they're the same isn't true. They're worth the money; you'll be throwing away the Chinese ones in a year, while with these, you'll be driving for 3 years.
The tires are just gorgeous. I was looking for options for a car with pneumatic suspension and previously found heaps of options including cheap Chinese ones that rumble like a train, feeling almost square, and let's not even talk about balancing. As for Continental, everything is just perfect. On the road, especially when warmed up, they make no noise at all—you just drive and forget. Regarding the braking distance, everything is spot on despite the tires being soft with an asymmetric tread pattern. As for aquaplaning, it’s a debatable point: if you speed into a corner with water, nothing will help, but if you use them normally and don’t push them beyond limits, they will perform well and you won’t need to fear wet conditions. The sidewalls are soft yet strong; there is a side cut, but no bulge appeared.
At temperatures around 4-5 degrees, the rubber becomes noticeably hard and noisy, so I recommend changing it for winter in time to avoid unexpected issues on the road.
