Structurally, the optical design of the Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM consists of 6 elements in 5 groups, including one aspherical lens is used. Also hidden inside the lens body is the stepper motor of the STM autofocus system for silent focus. The lens is focused from a minimum distance of 30 cm. This “baby” weighs only 160 g, and its dimensions are 69x41 mm. Near the front lens of the model there is a thread for small and, consequently, inexpensive filters with a diameter of 43 mm.
