One of the best renovators for home craftsmen
The body of the Bosch PMF 350 CES renovator is made of high-strength polyamide plastic. Its surface is partially rubberized. Inside the case is a 350-watt motor (of which 185 watts is usable power) and an all-metal gearbox. Engine speed can be adjusted by changing the frequency of tool movements (in the range of 15 – 20K rpm). Constant electronics maintain stable speed. The tool is equipped with an inrush current limiter, which turns on the engine smoothly, without jerking. Therefore, the renovator does not twitch and does not turn in the hands at the moment of switching on. The power cord is connected through a swivel (the cable does not break at the entrance to the case). On the front of the device there is an LED light that illuminates the work area by 180°. Under heavy loads and long work without pauses, there is a tendency for the engine to overheat — the case can heat up to an uncomfortable temperature.

The oscillatory stroke of the spindle is 2.8° (1.4° in each direction). An AutoClick chuck is used to mount the tooling. It works on the same principle as bindings on ski boots: insert, push, and you're done. The tooling is removed with a simple turn of the lever. The process of changing from one nozzle to another takes less than three seconds — faster than other manufacturers of renovators using other keyless nozzle change systems.

The tool comes with a beautiful and high-quality case containing the necessary and useful accessories: a vibration-absorbing additional handle (it can be screwed into the renovator on the left or right), a four-position cut depth limiter for working with a segmented disc and an adapter for connecting a household vacuum cleaner when using a sanding sole . The package also includes a set of interchangeable nozzles for different types of work. All of them have the proprietary Starlock mount, which is used on the newest Bosch renovators. They are better suited for applications that require maximum precision and accuracy and are less likely to break the spindle than the more common bits with OIS mounts. But the nozzles of the Starlock system are only used by Bosch so far, so they are quite expensive and less common on the market.
