Model overview based on user reviews
The Barum Polaris 3 tires are praised for their affordable price and quiet performance, making them a good budget option. They perform well on dry and wet asphalt, but their performance on snow and ice is less reliable, with some users noting difficulties in snowy conditions. The tires are soft and wear-resistant, and while they may not excel in extreme winter conditions, they are suitable for city driving with minimal snow. Some users have experienced satisfactory mileage, covering up to 70,000 kilometers before needing replacement. Overall, the Barum Polaris 3 is recommended for those seeking a cost-effective tire with decent quality, though it may not be ideal for severe winter weather.

Do not expect that by buying a cheap item, you will get anything excellent. However, if you have the opportunity to pay more, buy it and you won't regret it. Affordable cost, but quite acceptable quality; I was afraid it would be much worse. It turned out to be quite wear-resistant. That’s where the advantages end. Winter tire, but suitable only for dry surfaces. Be very careful on wet roads or snow. Especially when climbing uphill. They don't grip well. ![]() |

I would like, of course, for the tires to meet expectations and serve well for at least three, or even better, four seasons. The tires say Made in Portugal - I'm curious whether this is a + or - :) Affordable price, soft rubber, quiet; as for wear and tear, I don't know, but it will probably depend on the driving style and mileage. When I installed them on the car, I drove home at night in rainy weather - it holds the road well, no complaints. I couldn't see any drawbacks, as I have nothing to compare it with, because this is my first winter and my first winter tires :) ![]() |
