The Baratza Encore is equipped with conical burrs that help to evenly grind grains. The rotation is directly transmitted to them by a 70-watt motor, which provides relatively low speeds (up to 550 rpm). This reduces noise and heating of the beans, and the overall grinding speed is about 1 gram per second (from 0.8 to 1.1 depending on the settings), which is more than enough for household needs. The millstones can be easily removed for cleaning.
40 settings and two start options
High grinding uniformity is combined with flexible adjustment options. 40 degrees of adjustment are immediately proposed for brewing from espresso (fine grinding) to French press (coarse grinding) and an abundance of options in between (aeropress, filter coffee, siphon, etc.).
Two options for turning on the device are also available. The first is a rotary switch with characteristic marks On and Off (the lever, by the way, rotates both clockwise and counterclockwise).
