How to choose a charging stationEverything you need to know about power, capacity and type of battery, as well as other criteria for choosing charging stations

Li-Ion or LiFePO4: What’s best for charging station and UPS?Understand the strengths and weaknesses of lithium batteries used in charging stations and UPS
Yesterday I received this station, got it for 9999 UAH, version 2, which differs from the first version by the absence of DC connectors to the left of the cigarette lighter. First impression is good, I connected a hairdryer to the maximum, it handled 685 watts calmly until full discharge for about 25 minutes. There's a lot online about the E2 error, which I think is related to the batch, region of delivery, and version of the station, but I won't make claims. If you don't experiment and use it as intended, I think it'll last a long time. Now about the nuances, if it comes charged, do not recharge it, as it might charge up to 99 and then get stuck, so fully discharge and then charge in eco mode, and everything will be fine. If the station is charging when phones are connected to the USB port, they behave strangely, as if the touchscreen is glitching, which I think is related to the voltage and wiring of the connectors, but I don't see the point in charging a phone from the station when there's electricity available, so you can largely ignore this. Power 600 nominal and 1200 peak 700 W I think it will handle without problems, decent capacity, I would like 500-600 Wh, but that's a different price category, good materials, wireless charging, there is a flashlight. LiFePo4 batteries, and that's 3000 cycles. Fast charging, in eco mode charged in 4 hours, in turbo mode, I think about an hour, maybe even faster. Quiet operation. Weak app, needs reconnection to the station after turning it on, but there's not much to configure there, like charging mode, turning on connectors, and the flashlight. No option to update firmware over-the-air or via USB. |
I bought this station because of its attractive price and wireless charging, but the charging diminished quickly after just a few uses. It turned out a capacitor somehow broke, but they repaired it, and it worked for a little while before more issues arose. At some point, it stopped turning on and when pressing the button or connecting it to the network, it just beeped, and that was it, with zero information on the screen. Overall, the very nice specs were compromised by a mediocre implementation, even though it truly does have good batteries. There are many complaints about them on international resources, and many people say it’s better to pay a little extra (€20-40) and get one from a more reliable manufacturer. I'll also mention the app; in reality, it's not very useful at all... Battery capacity, real power, type-c really delivers its 100 watts The quality, as my and not only my practice has shown, is very so-so... |
