The versatility of the Stanley FatMax SFMCD715D2K screwdriver is ensured by the fact that it has several modes of operation designed to solve different tasks. One of them (working at the first speed with a chuck rotation frequency of up to 600 rpm) is intended for screwing and unscrewing various fasteners: screws, self-tapping screws, bolts, and also small nuts. To adjust for different fasteners, the tool has a 15-stage adjustment clutch, allowing you to change the tightening force from small values to 60 Nm, considered a very solid torque value for battery screwdrivers. The second speed (up to 1900 rpm) allows drilling wooden (up to ⌀30 mm) and metal (up to ⌀13 mm) parts. The third mode is working with the impact mechanism turned on, allowing you to drill holes in brick or lightweight concrete (up to ⌀13 mm).
The tool is equipped with a brushless motor with a brake for quick engine stop and an electronic system providing reliable protection against overload and overheating. Comfortable work in low light conditions is ensured by the built-in LED backlight. The quick-clamping chuck is tightened and loosened manually, giving the user the ability to easily and quickly change working equipment (hex bits or drills with shanks diameter 1.5 – 13 mm) when switching from one task to another.
Unlike regular Stanley power tools, which over the last decade have occupied an intermediate niche between "hobby" Black&Decker and "professional" DeWALT (all three brands belong to one manufacturer), Stanley FatMax series screwdrivers are designed for everyday use by professionals in working professions: builders, carpenters, auto mechanics, and others. In addition to good technical characteristics, a master who decides to buy a Stanley FatMax SFMCD715D2K screwdriver will receive a nice "extra" in the form of two Stanley FatMax V20 battery packs (with a capacity of 2 Ah each), a charger, and a plastic case.
Like many other professional Bosch power tools of the latest generation, the cordless drill Bosch GSR 18V-55 Professional 06019H5271 is equipped with a brushless motor. Such a motor has many advantages: higher output power, reduced battery energy consumption, and increased reliability due to the absence of a commutator unit. The special electronics providing protection against overload and overheating ensures that the tool will shut itself off if the user applies excessive force to prevent damage to the screwdriver.
The screwdriver's gearbox has two speeds, one of which is intended for drilling, and the other for working with fasteners. High RPMs (1800 rpm) should be used for drilling holes in metal (up to ⌀13 mm) or wood (up to ⌀35 mm). At low RPMs (460 rpm), thanks to the increased torque reaching 55 Nm, the screwdriver can screw screws with a diameter of up to 10 mm into wood without pre-drilling. The tightening force is adjusted using a 20-stage adjustment clutch. The all-metal quick-clamp chuck guarantees reliable fixation of various types of accessories, including hex bits and drills with shanks from ⌀1.5 mm to ⌀13 mm.
A screwdriver like the Bosch GSR 18V-55 Professional 06019H5271 is well-suited for work in a carpentry or furniture workshop, at a car service station, or in a metal construction fabrication. This device is marked Heavy Duty, which Bosch applies to power tools designed for intensive work with a heavy load. Along with the drill, two Bosch Professional 18V lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 2 Ah each are provided, a fast-charging device (a battery discharged to "zero" replenishes energy to 100% in just 35 minutes), and a spacious L-BOXX 136 plastic case (internal dimensions 442x357x151) along with special inserts for neat tool placement with accessories.

When designing the DeWALT DCD996X1 drill-screwdriver, DeWALT engineers kept in mind the demands of professional builders who need a versatile, powerful, and reliable tool, but also wireless. Therefore, this screwdriver was equipped with a brushless motor that has a decent power output (820 watts on the output shaft) with moderate battery charge consumption. The engine's reliability during tough exploitation, typical for work on construction sites, is ensured by the presence of an electronic overload protection system. Also noteworthy is the presence of three speeds in the gearbox, making it easy for the screwdriver to adjust to different tasks and work with different types of accessories.
Working at the first speed (up to 450 rpm), the tool can screw fasteners with great force — up to 95 Nm. Such characteristics allow working with large screws and self-tapping screws used for assembling and installing frames of houses and other large wooden structures. When working with fastening products of small and medium sizes, the torque can be limited by turning the adjustment clutch, which has 11 positions. The second and third speeds (1300 and 2000 rpm) are intended for drilling holes in wood (up to ⌀55 mm) and metal (up to ⌀15 mm). And with the impact mechanism turned on, this screwdriver can well replace a perforator (for small volumes of work), as it can drill through brick and concrete (up to ⌀13 mm). The built-in LED, designed to illuminate the work area, has three brightness modes and an afterglow function.
As power sources, the FLEXVOLT system's batteries are used. The DeWALT DCD996X1 screwdriver package includes a large and durable tool case from the TSTAK modular system, a charger, and two batteries of very large capacity (9 Ah each), guaranteeing a decent autonomous run time without recharging. Note that due to the large batteries, the tool is quite heavy — a whole 2.85 kg. To work with the heavy screwdriver with both hands, you can use the additional handle, which is also included.

The wireless drill Makita DHP458RTJ can drill wood, metal, plastic, and ceramic tiles, make holes in concrete and brick, and also tighten and unscrew different types and sizes of fasteners. The versatility of this tool is ensured by the presence of two speeds in the gearbox (400 rpm — for working with fasteners, 2000 rpm — for drilling), the reverse function, an impact mechanism, and an adjustment clutch for torque setting. In the drilling mode without impact, you can make holes up to ⌀13 mm in blanks made of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and up to ⌀76 mm — in wood (when using a hollow core bit — up to ⌀152 mm). With the impact mechanism turned on, you can drill even natural stone, brick, and concrete (up to ⌀16 mm), which is often required for various installation works at construction sites. The high torque, reaching 91 Nm at the last adjustment clutch position, allows working with screws up to M6 and fully screwing wood screws up to 10x90 mm without pre-drilling.
The quick-clamping chuck, whose jaws spread to a distance of 13 mm, allows quickly changing working accessories when switching from one task to another. It guarantees a reliable fixation of hex accessories (bits), adapters, extensions, etc. and regular round drills for wood, metal, and concrete. For safe and comfortable work, the tool is equipped with double LED lighting (LEDs are built into the housing under the chuck).
The Makita DHP458RTJ cannot be called light. Including the standard Makita 18V LXT battery with a large capacity of 5 Ah, it weighs 2.6 kg — this is 20% – 50% more than the typical weight of wireless tools of the same class. Therefore, the manufacturer included an additional handle in the package, allowing the drill-screwdriver to be held with two hands. The tool also comes with two battery packs, a charger, depth gauge, and a spacious Makpac case (internal dimensions 395x295x157 mm) for storing and carrying all of the above.

From the perspective of masters engaged in construction and repair, the main advantage of the Milwaukee M18 FPD3-502X is simply enormous (by standards of universal drill-screwdrivers) torque, reaching 158 Nm. Such tightening force allows you to tighten long screws with a diameter of up to 16 mm in one motion — fasteners that are used for assembling load-bearing structures of wooden buildings and structures. For working with screws and self-tapping screws of smaller sizes, the force can be limited by rotating the 16-stage adjustment clutch.
At the second gearbox speed (2100 rpm), working in drill mode, the tool shows itself no worse. It can drill metal (up to ⌀16 mm), wood (up to ⌀38 mm when using regular drill bits and up to ⌀89 mm when using a toothed crown), floor and wall tiles, plastic, and other materials. Thanks to the presence of an impact mechanism, the drill-screwdriver can make holes even in concrete and brickwork (up to ⌀16 mm). The built-in backlight, which activates with a light press on the start button, allows you to see the work area well. The quick-clamping chuck for drills with shanks up to 13 mm allows quick change of equipment. Thanks to the additional handle, which is easily installed in the desired position, the tool can be held with both hands during work. The proprietary electronic AUTOSTOP function, which replaces the traditional mechanical safety clutch, ensures safety.
The brushless motor, with which the Milwaukee M18 FPD3-502X screwdriver is equipped, is not only powerful but also uses battery power more economically than traditional motor designs. Therefore, a full charge of two batteries (having a high capacity — 5 Ah each) is enough to perform a significant volume of work in the workshop or on-site. In addition to the two Milwaukee M18 batteries, the package includes a charger and an HD Box plastic case.
