The robot vacuum cleaner from the well-known household appliances manufacturer Beko belongs to the budget segment, offering a simple model for dry cleaning without an overload of technology. Despite the lack of numerous functions, the device performs its duties well. The suction power is 2000 Pa, which is considered low by today's standards. The vacuum handles fine dust, crumbs, and pet hair, but it's best not used in homes with high-pile carpets and old floor coverings with gaps.

However, it is equipped with a generous 800 ml dustbin, which is rare in modern models, especially if they combine tanks for both dry and wet cleaning. Thus, the dustbin does not require frequent emptying, meaning less contact with waste and more convenient maintenance.

The battery life is ensured by a 2600 mAh battery, which lasts approximately 2 hours on a single charge. In this time, the cleaner can finish cleaning even a large apartment. However, recharging the battery takes a considerable amount of time — about 5.5 hours.

Despite the affordable price, the model uses an efficient laser navigation system. The robot vacuum scans the room using laser beams that reflect off obstacles, creating a map of the space, saving it for future cleaning optimization, plans routes, and avoids obstructions along its path. By connecting the device to Wi-Fi and syncing it with an app, you can choose optimal cleaning modes, if necessary, restrict the vacuum's movement areas, and schedule cleanings.

Modest battery life (90 minutes).

The smart cleaning robot Samsung Jet Bot+ VR-30T85513W, released in summer 2021, is a great choice for maintaining cleanliness in your home. The device belongs to the advanced flagship Jet Bot series, which combines robotic technology, and the "+" in the model name indicates its configuration with a mobile complex featuring a waste disposal station. The vacuum's cyclone dustbin with a volume of 300 ml automatically empties at the Clean Station cleaning station. During suction, the station's inverter motor consumes 1300 W. This is necessary to create strong suction power that transfers collected dirt to a disposable bag with a capacity of 2.5 L (spare included). During battery charging, energy consumption is much more moderate: only 40 W.

The LiDAR navigation sensor is not located in the usual center of the disc but shifted to its edge. The laser rangefinder provides room mapping with route optimization and efficient path planning. Thanks to the high-precision Anti-Cliff obstacle sensor, the vacuum delicately navigates around objects, avoiding contact with expensive furniture. Since the model is intended solely for dry cleaning, it does not feature a water tank or a "mop." It houses a washable HEPA filter (one spare), unlike the simple fine dust filter installed in the base station. The device is equipped with one side brush with 3 "brooms" and an improved turbo brush with silver threads that remove static electricity. This pairing with automatic suction power control provides excellent cleaning performance on smooth floors and thin carpets. The robot cleaner's main module is quite economical (60 W), but the charge-to-work ratio of 240/90 min leaves much to be desired.

Special attention should be paid to the smart home features implemented through Samsung's SmartThings smartphone app. Unlike the "raw" software from Chinese developers, Samsung's app deserves all the accolades. It is well-designed, works flawlessly, and offers extensive capabilities for remote management over the internet. The app shows real-time cleaning progress, and the Live Cleaning Report function demonstrates the vacuum's movement on your home map. The vacuum can work on a schedule and automatically park at the charging station. The Select & Go software option quickly recognizes room geometry from the map, saving cleaning time. You can also restrict access to certain locations thanks to the No Go Zone function. The "icing on the cake" for the model is support for voice control through Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung Bixby.

The smart vacuum cleaner from SHARK is suitable for users who expect quality cleaning from their device and wish to minimize their involvement in the process. The model's standout feature is its intelligent functions. The vacuum is designed for hard surfaces and carpets, capable of determining the surface type and automatically adjusting its power accordingly. The DirtDetect technology helps it recognize dirt to increase suction power and use a figure-eight motion pattern for multiple passes in these areas. Meanwhile, the EdgeDetect side brush efficiently collects debris from corners, and the main turbo brush with the Anti Hair Wrap feature minimizes hair and pet fur tangling.

At the initial launch and thereafter, the LiDAR sensor scans the space at 360 degrees, providing precise room mapping and efficient cleaning route planning. The vacuum methodically moves from room to room, avoiding furniture and not leaving behind any missed or dirty spots. The improved chassis with the NeverStuck technology allows the device to lift and lower its body for maneuvering, overcoming low obstacles, and easily transitioning onto high-pile carpets.

The control is convenient and straightforward. The robot understands voice commands thanks to Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa support. Wider settings are available in the SharkClean mobile app, where you can view the map, designate no-go zones, plan cleanings, or create an entire schedule tailored to your individual needs.

After each cleaning session, the device returns to its station, where it not only charges its battery but also empties its dustbin. The base uses a sealed container for waste that captures and retains 99.9% of dust, allergens, and irritants, preventing them from entering the air. Additionally, the station has a replaceable Anti-Odour cartridge to eliminate unpleasant smells and create a pleasant fresh scent in the home. Thus, the robot vacuum is well-suited for homes with pets and people with allergies.

The robot vacuum from the renowned brand iRobot is a high-tech assistant for dry cleaning. Its main advantage is the intelligent camera necessary for navigation and dirt detection. With the help of the camera and additional sensors, the device confidently moves around the home, choosing optimal cleaning routes, not getting stuck under furniture, not falling off stairs, and creating detailed room maps. Moreover, thanks to the LED lighting on the device's bumper, it can move and analyze the environment even in complete darkness. The PrecisionVision intelligent system is responsible for object recognition: the vacuum "sees" scattered socks, pet waste, and other items and carefully navigates around them without trying to suck them in or drag them around the apartment. Upon identifying an obstacle, the camera photographs it, and the robot sends the image to the user to get clear recommendations on how to handle these obstacles in the future.

The camera is used not just for navigation but also for recognizing dirt. Noticing particularly dirty zones, the device will pay special attention to them and clean them more intensively.

Another intelligent function, iRobot Genius, allows the vacuum to learn its owners' habits to develop a personalized cleaning schedule. For example, it might suggest an extra cleaning during allergy season or pet shedding. If you consistently clean the kitchen at a certain time (for example, after a family dinner), and one day you forget, the technology will remind you.

Even without "smart" functions, the iRobot Roomba J7 handles dry cleaning effectively. The turbo brush comprises two silicone rollers rotating towards each other, collecting debris from all floor types. The side brush sweeps dirt from hard-to-reach areas, although, given the vacuum's round shape, some missed spots may remain in corners. The device can be paired with the iRobot Braava Jet M6 mopping robot to synchronize dry vacuuming and floor washing.

The robot vacuum connects to Wi-Fi, allowing for remote control from anywhere in the world where there's internet. The branded mobile app offers settings for modes, cleaning schedules, and the option to designate no-go zones on the map. Users also receive notifications through the app about the dustbin being full and needing to empty it. Additionally, the model supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, and it understands voice commands.

High power, design, D-shaped body, retractable duct instead of a side brush, navigation camera, large dustbin (0.5 L), one-button open, automatic mode, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa support, display on the body.

Price, autonomy (up to 45 minutes).

This robot vacuum falls under the premium segment and is priced accordingly, just like almost all Dyson products. The company is primarily known for its design and high power, and the Dyson 360 VisNav meets both criteria. Its rich blue color gives it a beautiful and expensive appearance, the removable dustbin adds a futuristic touch to its look, and the D-shaped body serves a practical purpose — it ensures efficient cleaning in places round robots cannot reach. The brush, spanning the width of the body, cleans from edge to edge. Made from three materials: soft nylon, stiff bristles, and carbon fiber anti-static filaments, it cleans all surfaces and prevents hair and pet fur from tangling. A retractable duct replaces the classic side brush, immediately sucking up debris along walls and in corners.

The spacious 0.5 L dustbin is fully detachable from the body and comes with a small handle for carrying. The five-stage HEPA filtration system traps dust and 99.99% of microscopic particles as small as 0.1 microns, including pet fur, pollen, and allergens. The dustbin cleans out at the push of a button, eliminating direct hand contact with waste.

The model is designed for dry cleaning only but excels at this task. The manufacturer lists a suction power of 65 W due to the Dyson Hyperdymium motor, achieving speeds of up to 110,000 rpm. Dyson claims the cleaner's performance is six times that of any other robot's suction power. Modern devices are quite powerful, so these claims are questionable but, nevertheless, the robot vacuum effortlessly tackles all types of dirt (fine dust, crumbs, hair, long hair) and various floor types, including carpets. Four modes are available: quiet (low-noise cleaning), boost (maximum suction power), quick (speed optimization), and the most intriguing — automatic mode. When activated, the device automatically determines the floor type, level of dirtiness, and adjusts the power accordingly.

Another highlight of the model is its smart navigation. Equipped with 26 sensors and a camera with a 360-degree view, the vacuum constantly analyzes the surrounding environment, avoiding obstacles and narrow spaces during cleaning. You can view the home map, the device's route, adjust modes, and schedule cleanings through the MyDyson app. Compatibility with Alexa and Google Assistant enables voice control of the device. Additionally, a small screen on the body displays information about its operational mode and possible errors.

Perhaps the main disadvantage of the vacuum is its modest battery life — only 45 minutes. Although charging is relatively quick — up to 100% in 2.5 hours.
