Let's analyze the decoding of the marking of refrigeration equipment of the Belarusian manufacturer using the example of the 2019 model of the Premium Atlant XM-4421-109-ND series.

1 - Type of device for its intended purpose
The first two letters in the designation of the device determine the type of household appliance for its intended purpose:
MX and X - single-chamber refrigerators;
XM - two-chamber refrigerators with a bottom and top freezer;
МХМ - two-chamber refrigerators of the 18 New Wave and 28 Soft Line series. Until 2004, the three-letter model marking applied to all series of two-chamber refrigerators;
M and MM are freezers.

2 - Series
The first two digits in the model marking indicate that the device belongs to a particular series. From them you can immediately find out the number of compressors used in equipping the device, the number and location of internal chambers, the dimensions in width, as well as the types of cooling system, control unit and design line. The number of compressors can be identified by the first digit of the code: 4 - one compressor, 5 - one compressor with a valve, 6 - two compressors. Only models of the 16th series with one compressor and the 18th series with 2 compressors drop out of this rule. To simplify the decoding, we will accept understandable abbreviations to further indicate the localization of the freezer in 2-chamber models: NMK - lower freezer, VMK - upper freezer.

71, 72 - freezer, 1 chamber, 1 compressor, mechanical control, "Classic" and "Comfort" lines;
76 - freezer, 1 chamber, 1 compressor, electronic control, "Advance" line.

Since almost every series is characterized by belonging to a designer line, a brief overview should be given:

"New Wave" - the design of external and internal elements in the form of a wave, all models are made in white or silver colors;
"Classic" - strict design without frills with the possibility of hanging the door;
"Comfort" - pragmatic design, self-diagnosis function and low noise level characteristic of models;
"Comfort +" - advanced convenience and functionality, Full NoFrost system and high reliability;
"Soft Line" - smooth rounded contours of the exterior design with convex doors and ergonomic handles, a wide choice of colors;
"Compact" - narrow compact (54 cm), but at the same time, roomy models for small kitchens;
"Maximum" ("Premium") - a line of increased volume due to the large width of 70 cm, the presence of a display on the door;
"Advance" is a new series that combines modern equipment, laconic exterior design and interior ergonomics.

3 - Model number
Under the two-digit numeric designation of the model number, the number of compartments in the freezer for refrigerators with NMK is encrypted:
08, 09, 11, 13 - 2 departments;
10, 12, 21, 24, 26 - 3 compartments;
23, 25 - 4 branches.

4 - Execution

The last numbers and letters in the marking indicate the energy efficiency, color and design features of the refrigeration unit:

A - Energy efficiency class
0 - A;
1 - A+;
2 - A++.

B - Color
0 - white;
3 - ruby;
4 - "stainless steel";
6 - "wet asphalt";
8 - silver;
9 - "star dust".

C - Design Features
0 - no freshness separation;
1 - the presence of a Super Fresh Box freshness zone. In freezers, indicates the function of automatic shutdown of fast freezing;
2 - left-hand door (in freezers);
9 - end handles.

D - Cooling system
N - NoFrost.

Drip or static cooling system Fresh, inherent in most models, is not displayed by default in the model designation. Only refrigerators and freezers equipped with the NoFrost system have an additional letter "N" in the label.
