USB type C

— a relatively new type of compact USB connector, gradually replacing microUSB in mobile devices. It differs from its predecessor in slightly larger dimensions and a double-sided design, which allows the plug to be inserted in either direction. In addition, the USB-C specification provides a number of advanced power options — in particular, it is under this connector that Power Delivery fast charging technology has been developed.
