The sucking reflex is one of the most important for a small child; among other things, sucking plays a calming role and influences the formation of a correct bite. Pacifiers are especially relevant if the baby receives little or no mother's milk: feeding through the nipple is faster and easier than from the breast, the child simply does not have time to suck, which is why he begins to pull everything he can get into his mouth. However, pacifiers can be useful in other cases.

In general, both parents and pediatricians treat pacifiers ambiguously, however, with moderate use and proper design, such a device is unlikely to cause harm. However, anyway, you should first consult a specialist about a pacifier.
