Ultra HD (4K)

— the Ultra HD standard provides a frame with a size of approximately 4K pixels horizontally. One of the most popular resolutions of this standard, including among DVRs — 3840x2160; there are also devices with a shooting resolution of 2888x2160. The frame rate is usually 24 frames / sec — this is not too much, but it is quite enough for a normal "watchability" of the video; a higher shooting speed would make too high demands on the hardware.

UHD 4K is the most advanced standard found in modern DVRs. Its support is guaranteed to be a sign of a high-end device.
