The specific size and layout of the battery may be different, primarily depending on the “weight category” of the grinder. So, in compact low-power models, the battery is completely hidden inside the battery compartment — or protrudes from the handle only slightly, serving as its continuation. In more performant tools, most of the battery is located outside (similar to a slider), and only a characteristic protrusion is placed inside the handle, which serves to fix and provide electrical contact. In the first case, the clip mount allows you to significantly reduce the overall dimensions of the tool; so this battery mount format is very popular among low-power grinders. The second option — a large external battery with a protrusion for fixing in the handle — is also suitable for relatively powerful models, but in fact it is used much less frequently: most manufacturers prefer to use simpler and at the same time reliable sliders in such a tool.
