For the Masters' Collection, nose Dominique Ropion wanted to create a scent that expressed all the richness of vanilla with all its many nuances. This creation was built around a sublime quality of LMR vanilla pods, whose most subtle tones I amplified. This Bourbon Vanilla, grown in the Indian Ocean, is extracted using CO2, a cold extraction technique that allows the full spectrum of its gourmand, floral, leathery and spicy notes to be revealed. Its leathery character is reinforced by saffron, it is addictive thanks to an addition of tonka bean, while incense swirls add a mystical aura to the texture.
