The Base, a large threaded cylinder reminiscent of an oversized screw, embodies the very essence of technical and aesthetic simplicity. But it's the ingenious mechanism that makes all the difference. Like a nut on a screw, the lampshade rotates fluidly around the threaded base, rising and falling, allowing light to be modulated with a simple gesture. The light, reflected by the Aluminium Lampshade, offers a warm, indirect glow. The higher the Lampshade, the greater the Flux. Thanks to this flexibility, the Set lamp adapts elegantly to any space, whether placed on a console, on a windowsill, or staged as a centerpiece in your living room. Designed by renowned Toronto-based designer Jamie Wolfond, the Set lamp is one of those objects whose beauty lies in their thoughtful simplicity. As Wolfond so aptly puts it, The most interesting ideas often comefrom taking a fresh look at the familiar. Here, the designer explores threading as a modulating tool, not only to adjust the height of the Lampshade, but also to control the diffusion of light.
