Working between Stuttgart and Zurich, the Hannes&Fritz studio brings together two talented young designers: Hannes Breuer and Fritz Gräber. In collaboration with New Works, the designers have come up with a complete outdoor collection to create a stylish, original and sustainable dining area in the garden or on the terrace. Made from powder-coated steel, this family of hard-wearing furniture features stacking chairs with or without armrests, and tables in two lengths, harmoniously coordinated to complement each other. The May collection explores existing archetypal forms, defining them in a more contemporary context. Strict, rigorous lines are enhanced by attractive contemporary hues: Dark green and Light grey. The sober, monochromatic look of the May family makes it a perfect match for any décor. The May collection brings together two opposing elements: a delicate sheet metal surface meets a bold, solid and robust frame. Thin and light, the sheet metal of the seats and trays wraps tightly around large tubular steelstructures. Slots on the seats and Tray allow water to drain away, adding subtle detail to the otherwise uniform surface. A true graphic signature, these slots create a repetition of lines that brings lightness and unity to the family. The back and seat of May chairs and armchairs are slightly curved to fit the body.
