So the Molecule 01+Patchouli perfume is the result of the combination of the synthetic molecule Iso E Super with a single olfactory ingredient, in this case patchouli. "Molecule + is Molecule 01 + 1 single olfactory ingredient. If it had been a molecule again it would never have worked. Each of the combinations must be natural, only natural ingredients have the complexity to work in this way together with a molecule and dance with it, maintaining the simplicity of the initial concept" explains Geza Schoen. The inspiration came when his partner Sophie asked him to create a fragrance that had Iris as its main note, her favorite. Geza fascinated by this challenge, thought of combining it with the single molecule of Iso and Super and therefore chose to give life to a new formulation of fragrances, calling it Molecule 01+. Patchouli is a natural extract of the leaves of the plant itself and is a unique natural ingredient, with a woody and fresh sillage. It is usually associated with the 60s and 70s and the bohemian spirit. Geza Schoen used two different types of patchouli in this fragrance: Patchouli Coeur, a very soft and clean oil fraction, from which the hint of a camphor-like top note has been removed; the second is Indonesian patchouli oil, to enrich and complete the top notes.
