The Tama Superstar Classic 22 Tangerine Lacquer Burst is a high-quality shell pack from Tama taking inspiration from arguably Tamas most famous and most influential drum kit the Superstar. The kit was known for its ground-breaking design superior build quality crisp tone and clear projection. Tamas new take at the Superstar features carefully selected maple shells offering a rich warm tonal character with brilliant mid and high frequencies. The shells are constructed with tone in mind focused intently on shell moulding and the bearing edge shape that gives the drums their incredible ringing sustain and powerful projection. The shells are mounted using Tamas Star-Mount system ensuring that the wood is allowed to project fully and resonate naturally meaning it isnt muffled or muted at all. The kit carries some of the classic features that the original Superstar series had such as the classic Tama T-shape badge and streamlined low-mass lugs that feature a simple design thats reminiscent of the 70s style.
