Tonka Bean is often used in perfumery but rarely on its own. It is a deep material, full of contrasts, sometimes recalling a vanilla with leathery notes, or the sweetness of almonds, or even recalling facets of chocolate. Velvet Tonka is an homage to the perfumer’s Moroccan origins, but also to the iconography linked to this region of the world, through its flavors and landscapes, like a gourmand breath coming directly from the Atlas Mountains. Velvet Tonka is built around a trilogy of Tonka Bean, Almond and Orange Blossom on an amber background. The woody-velvet accord, built around Amyris Wood, is expressed through a vanilla honey note, sweet, still having very impactful poudré accent.
