The fragrance comes in a 50 ml bottle in vibrant yellow colour nuances and a round, spherical cap.Arabic fragrances - not just for the sultanAs the name of the eau de parfum spray suggests, Ambre sultan is all about amber. Perfumer Christopher Sheldrake, who realised the creation, also relies on many other active ingredients that give this perfume its unmistakable scent. Serge Lutens once said that the idea for this creation came to him at a bazaar, but only after he had forgotten a scented wax in a wooden box for a long time. This then developed a very distinctive scent of its own, which has been further refined in this eau de parfum spray.Unisex fragrances - perfect for men and womenThe Ambre sultan creation is characterised by amber, but essences such as coriander, benzoin, angelica root and labdanum are also used. The scents of bay leaf and myrtle can also be clearly detected. The creation is rounded off with oregano, sandalwood, styrax and tolu balsam. In the background, a gentle and very soft note of vanilla can be recognised throughout, which makes this fragrance so unique and skilfully sets it apart from other oriental or Arabian fragrances. The point of de... moreparture was a scented wax, found in a souk and long forgotten in a wooden box. The amber only became sultanesque after I reworked the composition using cistus, an herb that sticks to the fingers like tar, then added an overtone that nobody had ever dreamed of: vanilla. Why? Because vanilla is sticky, too, and it clung to my memory.. Our Fragrance Expert says:.
