The mini hoist is a portable tensioning force hoist with a continuous rope, which performs all functions of a hand operated cable pull or block and tackle under a diverse range of usage conditions. Its special feature is the rope tensioning principle. In contrast to a block and tackle or conventional cable winches, the rope is not wound onto a drum, but rather is moved in a straight line by two clamping jaws that resemble hands, in order to pull it or help with lowering. The mechanism is self-locking. The force is transferred by an extendable, removable lever pipe on the actuating lever (feed or retraction). The device is fitted with lifting slings (hooks) that allow quick attachment to any fixed point with a sufficient load bearing capacity.
