Once removed, the roof is reversible for repositioning the larger cable openings to accommodate power distribution plugs and data cabling. The front and rear doors remove easily thanks to their lift-off design. These doors have perforated areas for ventilation and a curved profile for greater surface area. Mounting and Adjustment Options The NetShelter SX provides a range of flexible mounting options. Integrated and adjustable rear accessory channels with two mounting bays each support up to four accessories such as vertical Rack PDUs and cable organizers to save cabinet u-space for servers, storage, and network devices. These channels come preinstalled in the rear but can be moved to other cabinet areas to suit your needs. The vertical equipment mounting rails can be adjusted in 1/4-inch increments to accommodate virtually any type of IT equipment. Additionally, preinstalled joining hardware gives you the option of joining cabinets in a row to provide greater stability and alignment of the row. Door ventilation exceeds 830 in2 (5355 cm2)
Adequate ventilation is required for proper operation of today's servers. NetShelter SX Enclosures include fully perforated front and rear doors to provide ample ventilation for servers and networking equipment. The perforation pattern provides 919 square inches of open area on the front door exceeding requirements set forth by major server manufacturers. Although this ventilation pattern provides adequate cooling for most configurations air-moving accessories such as APC's Air Distribution Unit are also available to support higher heat density applications.
Rear Cable Management channels
Integrated rear cable management channels allow customers to easily route manage and access large numbers of data cables even while an enclosure is loaded with rack-mount equipment and bayed within a row.
Rear Power Distribution channels
Rear power distribution channels provide easy access to multiple receptacles occupying zero U in recessed channels . The rear power distribution channels allow APC basic metered and switched vertical rack PDU's to be installed easily in the rear without interfering with equipment or taking up valuable U space. This provides increased accessibility to receptacles and allows customers to support more power cords within the enclosure. Up to 42 5-15R receptacles can be installed in just one rear cabling channel.
Cable Access
Generous cable access holes are provided in the roof and base of the NetShelter SX to enable power and data cables to be routed into the rack either from overhead or from underneath a raised floor. The NetShelter SX enclosure offers eight cable access holes of various sizes on the roof. The eight are broken out as follows: five 60mm x 175mm two 79mm x 167mm and one 79mm x 245mm. Easily removable cable access roof
Roof can be removed with simple pull-pin hinges for access during equipment installation or even with cabling already in place and routed through the cable openings. Once removed the roof is reversible to reposition the larger cable openings for power distribution plugs and connectors.
Cable access openings with pre-installed brushes
Large cable access slots in the roof provides access for overhead cable egress. The bottom design allows for unobstructed cable access through a raised floor. Roof includes openings with brush strips pre-installed in locations biased towards the front of the enclosure to allow for data cable passthrough and provisions for air containment.
Enclosure adjustment tools and hardware provided
All enclosures are provided standard with hardware bag that includes hardware for mounting IT equipment and tools for simple enclosure adjustment.
Equipment mounting rails integrate with patch cabling systems
Equipment mounting rails include zero U mounting holes beside the EIA 19" mounting space that allow the installation of Data Distribution Cable (DDC) patch systems without taking up any critical equipment U-space. AV and Networking enclosure designs do not include hole locations for integration of DDC cabling. Other 1U 2U and rear enclosure zero U options are available for use with these enclosures.
Perforated front door with curved profile
Perforated front and rear doors provide ample ventilation for servers and networking equipment. Front door perforated area is optimized with a curved profile to provide greater surface area and allowance of more perforation coverage and higher perforation rating.
Half-height side panels and option with brush strips for pass-through
Half-height quick release side panels reduce size and weight for easy handling and access to equipment. Side panels are lockable utilizing a single key with the doors. Now available are side panel options integrated with pass-through holes and brush strips for routing cabling to adjacent racks in a row while still maintaining proper airfow.
Quick release doors
Front door can be moved to the opposite side or interchanged with rear doors. Doors are easily removed with simple lift-off design.
