Model overview based on user reviews
The Vredestein Sportrac 5 tires are praised for their quiet and comfortable ride, offering excellent handling on smooth asphalt. They are particularly effective in wet conditions, maintaining grip as if on dry roads. However, they are noted to be quite rigid, which can make driving on rough or wavy asphalt less comfortable and lead to slipping. The tires have a durable sidewall and medium hardness, contributing to normal wear and good control. Some users have experienced issues with aquaplaning at moderate speeds, and the tires can be noisy on older, rougher roads. Overall, they are recommended for those who drive on well-maintained roads and appreciate a sporty driving style, but may not be the best choice for those prioritizing a softer ride or quieter performance on poor road surfaces.

clearly they haven't tried it on bad asphalt in the Netherlands. Pressure is fine at 2.2, so that's the kind of tire! quiet comfortable tires - excellent rolling - quick in maneuvers, good in braking for GOOD SMOOTH asphalt! strangely enough, it's very easy to peel out from a stop, giving the impression as if you're starting on bald tires. It really doesn't like rough or wavy asphalt and tends to slip - that's a fact. use Vredestein Sportrac 5 month or more |
For those who want hard sports tires, don't hesitate to spend the money. The quality is superb, and I think the wear will be good. The price is attractive. I've been driving with it for 2 weeks already, the tires are really quiet, but not soft at all, on the road it's like riding on a stool, potholes are just awful. I drove to Europe on these tires and that's where I realized what kind of roads they are intended for. On perfect asphalt, they grip the road as if glued. The car doesn't roll in turns, on proper asphalt in wet weather it drives like on dry, I didn't notice any difference. I don't know the braking distance as I haven't tested it, the sidewalls are hard. It is very hard, on a perfect road this is not noticeable. The tread is not very deep. |
I will wait for the season to open and will definitely report on how it behaves! previously, I had Sportrac 3 tires, which are designed for a sporty driving style. This year, a new model came out, and I decided to buy it. I'll say right away that I've already put them on my summer rims, but haven't driven with them yet. The difference from the predecessor is the pattern; the new tires have an asymmetrical design. They have special sidewalls where the cords intersect, which should provide maximum vehicle control. They have four grooves, which should effectively channel water. not yet |
