High-performance 250 GB internal SSD with advanced M.2 interface (NVMe 1.3, PCI-E 4x) in M.2 2280 form factor. The hardware basis of this model is a high-performance Samsung Phoenix multi-channel controller with a 512 MB DRAM buffer based on LPDDR4 memory. Multi-layer proprietary 3D TLC V-NAND flash memory features improved reliability. The controller supports high-speed SLC write caching technology, which provides excellent drive performance as a system drive and any other trivial usage scenarios.
With the motherboard supporting PCI-E 3.0 4x full mode, the sequential read speed reaches 3500 Mbps and write 2300 Mbps. Thanks to this, the Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 MZ-V7S250BW drive provides ultra-fast loading of the operating system, resource-intensive applications and the latest AAA-category games. The manufacturer's specifications declare a guaranteed write resource (TBW) up to 150 TB. This allows you to record about 40 GB of data daily for 10 years, which is more than enough for the vast majority of home users.

I've been using it for a year and a half, before that the system was on a regular HDD and it was its weakest link, the lag was just unbearable. After installation, the PC "came to life." I split it in half, one partition for the operating system and various software, the other for games and work files. Everything else remained on the HDD. Bought for the system in April 2021 for 7300 Decent speed, but if you, like me, used sane ssds for the system before, then you won’t notice much of a difference. It gets hot, unlike a regular external SSD, I have a native heatsink from the motherboard on it and the temperature in idle mode is 50-55 degrees with 5 turntables in the system unit! In recording mode, the temperature can easily rise to 60-65, but this is not critical, but the difference from external SSDs is obvious! |
Not the cheapest, but a reliable drive from Samsung. The speed is accurate, it works stably, and the buffer is sufficient. I use it for the system, games, and various work programs.
