How to Choose BathtubA guide to choosing comfortable and durable bathtub based on its purpose and the features of the space
Model overview based on user reviews
The Roca Malibu bathtub is a highly praised cast iron model, appreciated for its excellent heat retention and anatomical comfort. Users highlight its modern design and features like hydro and air massage, non-slip coating, and convenient handles, making it easy to get in and out. Despite its heavy weight, which poses challenges during installation, the bathtub's durability and quality are well-regarded. The price is considered high, but many users find it justified given the Spanish quality and the bathtub's ability to maintain warmth longer than acrylic alternatives. Overall, the Roca Malibu is recommended for those seeking a reliable and luxurious bathing experience.

We bought this bathroom in the Techport store for 23,000, in principle, we are satisfied with everything, despite the fact that acrylic bathrooms are now in vogue, we decided not to risk it and take cast iron in the old fashioned way.
a good, reliable bathtub with handles, with which you definitely won’t fall.
The main drawback, like any cast-iron bath, is its weight. It is really very difficult to bring in and install, my husband is honestly tired)

A very high price, but when someone asks, "Is this made of cast iron?" I say yes! Imagine that. A really cool bathtub, even though it's for astronomical money.
Cast iron bathtub, at the moment they are not as popular as acrylic which is light and less heat retentive. But still, it's a great bathtub, the new cast iron seemed like it would be the same as the old one, but no way! The first cast iron one that comes with hydro massage and air massage, plus there are 2 handles in the center making it very convenient to get in or out. Regarding heat retention, it’s somehow different with cast iron ones now, a bathtub used to be just icy, losing 30% of the heat while filling and warming up the bathtub itself. Here it's somehow better, the bathtub coating is warm and retains temperature.
Well, the biggest problem is carrying the bathtub in and proper installation, the bathtub is very heavy. The craftsmen struggled a lot with the installation. To level it properly and it weighs around 60 kg, overall it's heavy.

Great purchase, they gave a bathroom cleaner from this manufacturer as a gift, so this is just amazing. My wife says she hasn't seen anything better, Spanish quality rules! I recommend it, but the purchase is not cheap.
in general, I will express my outrage at those who say that cast iron tubs are from the past century. You are completely mistaken. Maybe the old ones were from the past century, but what they make now is simply superb. Take my bathtub, for example. In the past, the cast iron tub would take a long time to heat up, and it was tough to keep it warm, which was something acrylic tub owners boasted about—they claimed it wasn't cold and needed no heating. But although yours might not be cold, it loses heat very quickly, whereas a cast iron tub, once heated, can hold warmth 3-4 times longer. Moreover, new cast iron tubs are made so that the outer part is treated with some special coating that retains heat, while the interior is designed to absorb and maintain temperature. By the way, the interior isn't cold at all, just like in an acrylic tub, which cannot be said about those old cast iron tubs everyone complains about. Mine, in particular, is just gorgeous—I got the biggest size because I have a child and personally love to soak in the bath, so I have the largest size, 170*75. As for convenience, the tub has a non-slip coating, plus armrests that allow for complete relaxation in the bath, and handles on the sides, making it easy to get out without fear of falling.
The price, well I understand it's cast iron, metal is expensive now, plus it's made in Spain... well, at least 5... but if you look at the euro exchange rate at which it's purchased, then it's actually quite okay at the moment. The downside is the absence of legs in the set to place it on, or as my craftsman said, let's just put it on bricks... well, I didn't stress about those 100 bucks, it won't make much of a difference to the cost of my renovation, so I went ahead and installed the legs.
