Model overview based on user reviews
The Pirelli Scorpion STR tires receive mixed reviews from users. They are praised for being quiet on dry asphalt and providing a firm grip in such conditions, making them suitable for summer use. However, they are criticized for poor performance on wet surfaces, with reports of aquaplaning and reduced traction. Some users find them durable and wear-resistant, with strong sidewalls, while others mention issues with noise and stiffness, especially at high speeds. The tires are noted for their affordability and are seen as a good fit for crossovers and SUVs, but their performance in off-road and winter conditions is questioned. Overall, they are considered a decent option for dry conditions but may not justify their price for all users.

Given that Pirelli markets these tires for crossovers and SUVs, they can't hold on anywhere but smooth asphalt. They slide in the rain, making braking almost impossible, and as for off-road, don't even get me started. Overall, they're just average tires but not worth the price they ask for. In 3 years, I had 4 punctures despite living in the city and driving where everyone else does. On the flip side, in dry weather, they grip the asphalt so well it feels like they’re glued, but only when it’s dry. On dry asphalt, it holds firmly and confidently, soft, doesn't make noise doesn't grip on wet surfaces, easy to puncture |
