Model overview based on user reviews
The Nokian WR tires have received mixed reviews from users. They are praised for their performance on highways and in urban settings, especially in conditions with snow, mud, and water, making them suitable for all-season use. Users appreciate their softness and silence, and they perform well on loose snow and wet asphalt. However, they are criticized for their poor performance on icy surfaces and in areas with heavy snow, where they can be unreliable. Additionally, they tend to wear out quickly in above-zero temperatures, and some users have noted a weak sidewall that may be prone to cuts. Despite these drawbacks, they are considered excellent for urban conditions and have been used successfully for several years by some drivers.
Pros
Cons
I drove on these tires for about two and a half seasons. Initially, I really liked them, but once I hit ice, I was horrified; no ABS would help. The tires are well-suited for driving in a city where there's not much snow and the roads are mostly clear. I had to drive out into nature, and I regretted it more than once. The rubber performs confidently on the highway or in the city, as long as the road is not heavily snowed. Does not like ice categorically and places with a lot of snow. Wears out very quickly in above-zero temperatures. ![]() |
I read the reviews and was enlightened, why write such things I do not understand... As of today, I have installed the fourth set; there was one set of 14 radius on an AVEO and now the third 225/16/55 on an Accord. I use the tires all year round, and they last exactly four years. The remaining wear when changing is 3mm, and the tire shop always takes the tires for resale for those who like to save... Excellent all-season tires for our Odessa weather, winter/summer. Snow, mud, and water on the road are its elements. Dry asphalt doesn't wear the tires; I drive an Accord and I'm not going slow. I didn't find anything, I won't write about the ice, for me the ice is not a problem, maybe you just need to use your head or have some driving skills on ice and everything will be fine. ![]() |
I used to always drive on studded tires, and for the first time decided to try non-studded ones. I was pleasantly surprised right away - they're soft, silent, and perform excellently on loose snow, ice, and wet asphalt. Speaking specifically of urban conditions, these tires are just perfect for them. The sidewall may be a bit weak. By the end of the second year of use, it got a side cut. use Nokian WR month or more i recommend it should buy |
