Model overview based on user reviews
The Kormoran Road Performance tires are praised for their excellent handling on both wet and dry asphalt, offering a comfortable ride and effectively managing potholes. Users appreciate the price-quality ratio, noting that these tires are a subsidiary of MICHELIN, manufactured at the TIGAR factory in Serbia. They are described as soft and not noisy, providing a smooth driving experience. However, some users have reported wear issues, with one noting significant wear after only 20,000 km. Despite this, the tires are generally seen as a good value, especially for those prioritizing comfort and affordability over longevity.

These tires deserve a prize for their price-quality ratio!

In the prototype and by the tread, the MICHELIN Primacy 4 model is positioned for luxury cars.
Summer tires Kormoran Road Performance 195/55 R15 85V were chosen for the price-quality ratio, plus it's a subsidiary of MICHELIN (TIGAR factory, Serbia). I've used them for 2 seasons, approximately 16,000 km driven, and the impressions are only positive so far, with minor and even wear. The sidewall is quite soft, making these tires very comfortable, absorbing almost all bumps and joints on the road, but it's better to avoid deep potholes (side puncture and bent rim). They "hold" the road well, especially in corners. They perform satisfactorily in ruts, with minimal aquaplaning. Noise on coarse asphalt (practically all in Russia) is insignificant, no tires are completely silent on such surfaces. I don't see the point in overpaying for more expensive branded tires.
At this price, it's not worth mentioning the shortcomings... (2600 RUB per tire, August 2018)
great model, love it

Chevrolet Cruze wagon 1.8. I have been using 215/60/16 tires for three months. Let me say right away, on a scale of five, the tire deserves a solid 4 with a big plus. Believe me, there is no point in buying expensive tires. Kormoran will top them all. Excellent handling on both wet and dry asphalt. Comfort is at its best. It handles potholes brilliantly. I will plant flowers in my original factory Korean one.
No drawbacks so far

a model with serious flaws

Went into the asphalt like into dry ground! Kormoran, Riken, Orium - the same tire! Noise, softness - that's personal for everyone! What's important to me is wear resistance - this one doesn't have it! Useless!
Regular Tire !
Wore out in two months! Mileage - Highway. Intercity! Ran about 20,000 km. Only worse performance was with Nexen N1000 - 16,000 km on the rear axle to zero!!!

Tyres from the "daughter" Michelin, produced under the sign of the Kormoran brand, are well known to east european car owners. The secret of their popularity lies in the stability of driving performance and attractive cost. Moreover, according to the last point, Polish tyres beat the lion's share of their peers.

Reception of asymmetry

The Kormoran Road Performance urban summer shoe for iron horses is classified as a high-performance rubber that is installed on a wide range of passenger cars. In the structural features of its tread pattern, the asymmetry technique is used. The central position on the treadmill is occupied by a solid stiffener, which is responsible for the car's directional stability and the tyre's responsiveness to steering commands. It is separated from the side ribs by wide aqua-drainage channels.

silica cocktail

Numerous slots in the tread blocks form numerous gripping edges of the tyre with the roadway. And an additional link on guard of the "death grip" of the tyre with the road is a special composition of the rubber mixture with the addition of silica. Its inclusion in the rubber compound also has a positive effect on reducing rolling resistance and improves the adaptability of the model to temperature changes.

positive character

The stable driving properties of the tyre are confirmed in fact in reviews of the model, which are entirely positive. Happy owners praise it for its long service life, smooth running and low noise. There are no serious claims to rubber at all. The RP version of the tyre is designed to fit on 15 and 16 size rims. On the market, it is found under the naming of the sub-brands Kormoran and Riken.
