A powerful, reliable business laptop that's noticeably better than cheaper models
9 December
HP EliteBook 6 G1i 16 is a laptop that makes a noticeable difference between the "ordinary" 15,000–25,000 models and real business class. It has exactly what a person who works a lot on a computer needs: a durable body, reliability, stability, predictability under load, and significantly faster performance. At the center of the system is the Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor, which is not only faster but also has a separate NPU block for AI calculations. This really impacts everyday use: video calls become clearer, the background is muted, the camera adjusts the image, and the system as a whole runs smoother without overloading the CPU.
Intel Arc 140T graphics is an important bonus. It provides acceleration in photo/video editors, better browser performance, the ability to run light editing and even basic-level 3D scenes. On older UHDs, such tasks simply struggled.
In practice, this laptop feels faster than cheaper models literally from the first hour: files open instantly, multitasking does not create dips in productivity, and Zoom/Meet work cleaner even in noisy environments.
The 16:10 display is a direct plus for work scenarios: more text, more rows in tables, less scrolling. Likewise, the port set here is as comprehensive as possible: two Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45, USB-A — everything a professional needs.
There are also nuances: 300 nits is only for indoor use, the weight is not record-breaking, and Windows needs to be purchased separately. But in its category, the EliteBook 6 G1i 16 looks balanced.
Sturdy aluminum body, premium build, and sleek design of the EliteBook series.
Powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 255H with AI accelerator for daily tasks and video conferencing.
Large 16:10 display — convenient for working with documents, spreadsheets, and multitasking.
Full set of ports: Thunderbolt 4 (×2), USB-A (×2), HDMI 2.1, RJ-45.
Comfortable keyboard with NumPad — ideal for analysts, accountants, and office tasks.
Fast SSD and 16 GB DDR5 — a good balance for work.
Intel Arc Graphics 140T — significant boost in graphics performance compared to older UHD/Iris.
Long battery life and USB-C charging (Power Delivery).
Wi-Fi 7 — maximum speed in modern networks.
Brightness 300 nits — sufficient for the office, but not enough for outdoor use.
Weight 1.75 kg — not an ultra-light option for frequent travel.
No Windows included — needs to be purchased separately.
16 GB RAM without a second module — not maximum performance for multi-thread tasks.
The display is not suitable for professional color work.
