The $500 HP 250 G5 is arguably the most performant and capable work machine on the market today. At its heart is a four-threaded Intel Core i3-5005U processor with an integrated HD 5500 graphics accelerator, which can be used for games, but in the case of a work laptop, it will be more often used for smooth playback and accelerated conversion of FullHD and 4K video (Quick Sync technology).

With memory, both operational and permanent, the HP 250 G5 is all right. 8 GB of RAM is preinstalled, and the second free SODIMM-DDR3 slot allows you to upgrade to 16 GB in the future. The disk subsystem is represented by a 256 GB solid state drive and a DVD drive, which can optionally be replaced with a basket for a second 2.5-inch drive.

The main trump card of the HP 250 G5 is a 15.6-inch screen with an increased resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, that is, a density of 141 PPI. For comparison, a typical resolution of 1366x768 for this diagonal gives only 100 PPI. The only pity is that a low-cost TN-matrix with dull colours and small viewing angles is installed. However, in this price category, laptops with high-contrast IPS displays are not found. As a result, the HP 250 G5 is suitable for almost everyone, except for avid gamers.
