Flagship-level directional winter tire for a wide range of passenger cars. The model is based on a herringbone tread pattern with a branched drainage system for quick self-cleaning of the contact patch. Grooves for draining water and melted snow masses are launched from the central continuous stiffening rib to the shoulder areas. The tread blocks of Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Plus 195/60 R15 88T contain prismatic and zigzag cuts - lamellas. The first-order slots provide increased rigidity of the blocks, which is important for sensitive handling on dry surfaces, the second type - they “bite” with their sharp edges into snowy or icy surfaces. The model has a two-layer protector, made using DualCapCompound technology. The top tread layer has increased elasticity, giving the tire the ability to p...erfectly adapt to different types of surfaces, while the bottom layer is more rigid. It gives rubber good performance and significantly increases wear resistance. Note that the original UltraGrip Ice Plus model was produced from 2010 to 2012. However, in 2018 it was re-released with an improved rubber formula and a slightly modified design (at least that’s what Goodyear says).

The model has a two-layer protector, made using DualCapCompound technology. The top tread layer has increased elasticity, giving the tire the ability to perfectly adapt to different types of surfaces, while the bottom layer is more rigid. It gives rubber good performance and significantly increases wear resistance. Note that the original UltraGrip Ice Plus model was produced from 2010 to 2012. The model is just awesome!

Let me start by saying that I don't park my car in a parking lot, so it's easy for the wheels to be stolen. That's why I chose something cheaper and ended up buying a used set that I wouldn't mind losing, but from a well-known brand. I'll say right away that we have a mild winter, with a maximum of -10°C, so there's a constant change between snow, slush, and ice. I mostly had to drive through slush and mud – the tires performed well, no spinning or skidding, which means the grooves work perfectly because there are plenty and they're wide enough. When driving on snow, there is a feeling of confidence and direction, it doesn't sway to the sides, and I didn't get stuck in snowdrifts once! I'm very satisfied, especially with the fact that potholes have become almost unnoticeable. There's no roaring or screeching when braking. I haven't driven on ice, but I think it will perform respectably there too! Most importantly, the build quality is at a high level!
Wide grooves help better remove dirt, stability, excellent off-road capability, soft and a beautiful pattern.
no drawbacks
