Model overview based on user reviews
The Dunlop Grandtrek SJ6 tires are generally well-regarded for their performance on snow, mud, and dry roads, making them a solid choice for large SUVs and off-road conditions. Users appreciate their off-road capability in deep snow and wet clay, as well as their soft and quiet ride on dry snow. However, they have mixed reviews on wet surfaces, with some users noting unpredictable behavior on wet cobblestones and ice. The tires are also described as a bit noisy and complex to fit, requiring professional installation. Despite these drawbacks, many users are satisfied with their durability and performance, especially in winter conditions, although they caution against using them in warmer weather due to drifting issues. Overall, the Dunlop Grandtrek SJ6 offers a competitive price-quality ratio, but potential buyers should consider their specific driving conditions before purchasing.

Basically good tires, didn't perform well only on ice and wet cobblestones. They drive well on dry asphalt, but don't handle well with road ruts. On wet cobblestones, they tend to skid. Snow and mud are handled well. Ice - behaves unpredictably. On snow and clear roads, it performs well, as well as on mud and wet asphalt, unpredictably behaves on wet cobblestones. Cons: braking and acceleration on ice. Price. ![]() |
I think the behavior of the car on these tires is, to some extent, related to the weight of the car judging by the reviews. Recently took on Santa Fe F/L. On wet asphalt, the behavior is quite adequate. Couldn't get it to skid. On cobblestones, it behaves, in any case, better than Nokian Hakkapeliita R. Haven't tried it on ice yet. Not discovered yet. ![]() |
