Dream Machines RT4050-15 is an entry-level gaming laptop from a Polish manufacturer based on NVIDIA Ada Lovelace video cards. The test model installed RTX 4050 Mobile has 2560 CUDA cores, 6 GB of memory and only a 96-bit bus. However, with regard to mobile accelerators, it is more correct to start the conversation with the power consumption limit, which plays a critical role in the operation of the video card. With Dream Machines RT4050-15 it is not limited at all (standard 115 W + 25 W for boost), which makes the developers want to hug or at least shake hands. Neutered laptops based on the RTX 4050 with a 45-watt limit have managed to accustom us to unpleasant surprises.

Powerful Ryzen 7 processor and DDR5 memory

Paired with the GeForce RTX 4050 is an 8-core Ryzen 7 7735HS processor and 16/32 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM, which provide very decent FPS performance at 1080p resolution, although in most cases you will have to do without the nice, but very resource-demanding tracing rays. However, it should be noted here that the tensor unit of the Ada Lovelace GPU has been significantly improved, and the DLSS 3.0 system has been taught to work with the optical flow field, thanks to which both the quality and efficiency of artificial image scaling have simultaneously increased. For example, in Baldur's Gate tests in quality mode, DLSS increased the average FPS from 56 to 78 FPS without any loss of quality. Considering that we are talking about a really beautiful game with high graphic settings, the user will have little room to experiment with ray tracing and supersampling.

Otherwise, the RT4050-15 is a typical laptop from Dream Machines, in which literally every element is tailored for gaming. Instead of a standard 512 GB drive, a more capacious 1 TB SSD is installed here, capable of accommodating a much more serious collection of games. Instead of an IPS matrix, there is a matte *VA screen with 144 Hz scanning and lightning-fast response speed. You can install a second stick to the existing 16 GB of DDR5-4800 memory (note: maximum capacity 64 GB). An external monitor can be connected not only to HDMI, but also to the second miniDisplayPort video port. The network card is equipped with a Gigabit LAN port for direct connection to the network, and the wireless receiver supports the Wi-Fi 6E standard. Well, instead of a single-color keyboard backlight, there is full-fledged RGB illumination with a pack of built-in effects. And last but not least, the laptop has a fairly quiet and efficient cooling system.
