Dual-channel high-speed DDR4 RAM kit, capable of operating at a clock frequency of 3200 MHz. It consists of two single-rank modules each with a capacity of 8 GB. Designed for use in high-performance personal computers, based on the Intel Core platform (from the 6th generation and above) and configurations with AMD Ryzen processors. The impressive total memory capacity (16 GB) is more than enough for most professional applications and all popular gaming projects from 2011-2021.
The Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2x8Gb RAM kit is positioned as a mid-range product, aimed at demanding gamers and enthusiasts who know how to achieve significant performance gains through overclocking key system components. It supports Intel XMP 2.0 technology. On motherboards that do not support this technology, the modules will operate in the default mode at a frequency of 2133 MHz with timings of CL15-15-15-36 at a voltage of 1.2 V.
In such a situation, manual adjustment of several advanced UEFI BIOS parameters is necessary to install the high-performance rated mode (DDR4-3200, CL16-18-18-36 at a voltage of 1.35 V). The modules are equipped with low-profile aluminum heat spreaders, which can be useful for further overclocking with a significant increase in power voltage. The modest height of the modules (33 mm) will not be a problem when installing large CPU coolers.

A pair of 8 GB at 3200 MHz, XMP was picked up without any problems (R5 3600, ASUS Prime B450M-K II). Passes MemTest without errors, everything works like clockwork. In black heat spreaders, no overheating issues encountered. I have Samsung memory chips. Attached AIDA tests (read, write, latency). Fast (upgraded from DDR3-1333), high performance "out of the box", price/quality ratio, minimal defects from the manufacturer No flaws ![]() |
AIDA64 Extreme (Stress System Memory): Throttling absent. No crashes or errors detected. MemTest86+: All 13 tests passed without errors. XMP profile connected immediately and without issues. Frequency of 3200 and CL16 timings provide stable FPS. Ensures reliable dual-channel operation with good overclocking potential, low timings, and efficient cooling. Low profile ensures compatibility with massive coolers. Although DDR5 offers greater bandwidth, at 3200 MHz, DDR4 with low timings can outperform budget DDR5 in real tasks. Haven't tried overclocking yet. Frequency 3200 and timings CL16 show good performance. XMP profile set up normally. Overclocking capability. Low profile. Relatively inexpensive. Significant drawbacks have not been identified yet. For large projects, such as 3D or modern heavy games, 16 GB might prove to be insufficient. ![]() |
I bought a set of 2 by 16 GB in November 2016 for 4400 UAH, specifically the CMK32GX4M2A2666C16. Motherboard: MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon, processor: Intel Core i7-6700K. According to AIDA64, the memory manufacturer is Micron, although the motherboard's RAM compatibility list mentioned Samsung. Memory speed is 2133 (1066 MHz), and when overclocked - 2666 (1333 MHz). As I understand it, the frequency (2666 MHz) indicated in the memory designation is for overclocking without increasing voltage. Probably, by increasing the voltage, you can increase the frequency further. I'm not very good at this, so I won't experiment for now. The memory automatically operates at a frequency of 2133 MHz. Although there is an opinion that Samsung is better than Micron, a 10-year warranty speaks volumes. And the packaging even states that it’s lifetime. The modules have low aluminum heat spreaders, so they should fit under almost any cooler without issues. They fit with room to spare under the be quiet! Pure Rock. In general, they look slick, inspire confidence, and, most importantly, work. 1. Low price compared to other renowned manufacturers 2. 10-year warranty 3. Compact size It could be the memory manufacturer Micron. Time will tell. |
