Model overview based on user reviews
The Cordiant Winter Drive tire offers a budget-friendly option with several notable features. Users appreciate its good grip on asphalt and performance on snow and mud, along with its relative comfort and thicker sidewalls compared to European counterparts. However, it requires "heavy-duty" balancing and is a bit weak on ice, with some users noting it "floats" slightly at positive temperatures. While one review highlights its smooth ride and low noise, another criticizes its performance on wet asphalt, describing it as slippery and worse than summer tires. Overall, the tire is considered a decent choice for those on a budget, provided expectations are managed regarding its limitations on ice and wet surfaces.
Pros
Cons
I'll be honest, I chose this model due to financial constraints. It balanced at the limit of the technical specifications (25-60g per wheel), which initially concerned me. However, up to 120km/h, I didn't feel any vibrations (something the previous WQ-101 was somewhat guilty of). On asphalt, it behaves predictably, handles mud and loose snow well, and on well-packed snow and ice... well, you need to understand that this is not a studded tire or premium winter tire, but a budget "M+S" tire, meaning if you use common sense, you can drive just fine. I also liked the smooth ride and was surprised by the low noise (it's not noisier than the summer Hakka Green on rocky asphalt). Considering the price, I can rate it as "good." Wishing everyone safety on the roads! Price. Grip on asphalt. Performance on snow and mud. Relative comfort. Thicker sidewalls than European ones. "Heavy-duty" balancing. A bit weak on ice. It "floats" a little at positive temperatures (not critical). use Cordiant Winter Drive month or more |
