Model overview based on user reviews
The Continental ContiIceContact tires are highly praised for their excellent performance on ice and snow, with users noting that they handle perfectly and provide superior braking capabilities. The tires are manufactured in Germany, ensuring guaranteed quality and minimal defects. A unique feature is the glued studs, which promise zero stud loss throughout their service life, a claim supported by user experiences. While some users mention the audible hum of studs and noise on ice and asphalt, others did not find it bothersome, possibly due to good soundproofing. Despite slight drawbacks in water retention, the tires are recommended for their durability, with many users planning to repurchase them. Overall, the Continental ContiIceContact is considered one of the best choices for winter tires, offering a reliable and high-quality option for challenging winter conditions.

Used it last season. It handles perfectly on ice and snow. Didn't notice any difference between winter and summer. Not a single stud fell out. I recommend it! The hum of studs is audible. However, the braking on ice is excellent! |
alternative-Hakkapeliitta 7, ranked 1st in tests everywhere, but it's Russian and differs significantly from the Finnish one. Continental takes an honorable 2nd place and is German. There is also a decent and cheaper Michelin, but it's also Russian. brakes excellently, a new product, just started selling. The studs are glued, which no other manufacturer does today, at least on civilian tires, promise 0 stud loss for the entire service life. not identified yet |
Overall, after several days of use, there are no complaints. We haven't had deep snow in our region yet, so I can't say anything about that. European (Germany) manufacturer. Guaranteed quality, defects are almost excluded (which I can't say about Michelin). In some test, I read that there's noise, but I didn't notice it myself. Maybe the soundproofing is good, or maybe I just got used to it. |
