Model overview based on user reviews
The Bridgestone Potenza RE050A is a tire known for its good handling on dry asphalt and durability, but it comes with some drawbacks. Users have noted that it is a bit hard and noisy, especially at higher speeds, which can be quite disruptive even in a business class sedan. Additionally, the tire is not well-suited for wet conditions, as it tends to hydroplane quickly when worn. While it carries the reputable Bridgestone name, the high price and lack of comfort on wet roads make it less appealing for those seeking a balance of performance and value. Some users have expressed disappointment, suggesting that other models, like the S001, offer a sportier experience. Overall, the Potenza RE050A is a normal model with average characteristics, and potential buyers might want to consider other options if they prioritize comfort and noise reduction.
Pros

Cons

Rubber with average characteristics at a high price.

They were on the factory setup, didn't change them immediately - used them for 2 seasons, despite the outstanding qualities when driving on dry asphalt, there's absolutely no comfort or grip on water. If they were a bit cheaper, I might have considered the same replacement, but I'll be looking for more acceptable options.
Good handling on dry asphalt. Durable and wear-resistant.
A bit hard and noisy. Price. If they are somewhat worn out, it's better not to drive into puddles at high speed - they hydroplane very quickly.

Don't waste your money. Do not buy! When purchasing, I was taken in by the price tag (since other models were a little more expensive, I decided to save money, especially since it was Bridgestone after all) and I have already regretted it more than once.
From the advantages, only the "surname" ;)
To say that the tire is noisy is to say nothing! When you pick up speed above 80 km/h it starts to make a lot of noise, and at a speed of 160 you stop hearing the passenger sitting next to you, and this is in a business class sedan from Germany! Not intended for aggressive driving with fast corners and hard braking, at least the S001 behaves much sportier. Disappointed...
